Two cenotes in one day
Nomozón (open, natural light, turquoise water) and Nayah (semi-closed, cathedral feel). Two distinct atmospheres in one trip — maximum experience variety.
Full-day tour to the Nomozón and Nayah cenotes — crystal-clear freshwater, rock formations viewed from the surface and a full traditional lunch in a local Maya community. You just need to know how to swim. Family-friendly. Flexible pickup from Progreso or Mérida — you choose.
The Nomozón and Nayah cenotes are ~1.5 hours inland from Progreso, in rural Maya communities. They're not in Progreso itself — that's why we run a full-day tour with round-trip transport, entrance fees, snorkel gear and a traditional lunch in the community all included.
Cenote snorkeling is family-friendly: you just need to know how to swim, the water is crystal-clear and shallow in the accessible zones, and you see the rock formations from the surface with a clarity you won\'t find in ocean snorkeling.
$3,640 MXN per person — flexible pickup from Progreso or Mérida, you choose when booking. All-inclusive: transport, snorkel gear, entrance fees, Maya-community lunch.
More authentic freshwater experience than the touristy Riviera Maya cenotes — local community, no crowds, lunch included.

Limestone-filtered freshwater is exceptionally clear. Every rock formation, every fish, every sunbeam from above is visible — from the surface.
Unlike reef diving, cenotes don't depend on weather — temperature and visibility are stable. Only heavy road storms affect the schedule.
Nomozón and Nayah complement each other — open cenote with sunlight and closed cenote with cathedral feel.
Open-sky cenote with direct sunbeams into the water. Crystal-clear turquoise, rock formations visible from the surface. Perfect for photos with the sun overhead. First cenote of the tour.

Book tour →Cenotes are limestone-filtered freshwater — exceptional visibility year-round. Stable temperature 24–25 °C (cool, refreshing on a hot day). No current, no waves. Zones suitable for surface snorkeling. Rainy season (Aug–Sep) may reduce visibility after heavy storms — otherwise clarity is constant.
No — Nomozón and Nayah are ~1.5 hours inland from Progreso, in rural Maya communities. The port of Progreso itself has no cenotes (it's on the Gulf coast). That's why we run a full-day tour with transport from your hotel or cruise dock, round-trip included.
Just basic swimming. Gear (life vest, mask and fins) is included. We give a short surface briefing before entering — how to use the mask, breathe through the snorkel, basic signals. Complete beginners are comfortable within 10 minutes.
Yes — life vest is mandatory and included for everyone. Water is calm, no current. Kids who can swim love cenote snorkeling. For kids who can't swim yet, they can join with a vest but must stay close to an adult. Check specific ages when booking.
