Two cenotes in one day
Nomozón (open cenote with natural light and rock formations) and Nayah (semi-closed cenote, more intimate). Different profiles in the same trip — maximum variety.
Full-day tour to the Nomozón and Nayah cenotes — crystal-clear freshwater, rock formations and a full traditional lunch in a local Maya community. For certified divers (any international agency) or first-timers via discover scuba. Flexible pickup from Progreso or Mérida — you choose.
The Nomozón and Nayah cenotes are ~1.5 hours inland from Progreso, in rural Maya communities that protect and operate these freshwater sinkhole systems. They're not physically in Progreso — which is why we run a full-day tour with round-trip transport, entrance fees included and a traditional Yucatecan lunch prepared by the community.
We run two diving experiences: a tour for certified divers (any agency — PADI, SSI, NAUI, CMAS, SDI) and discover scuba for first-timers with a certified instructor. Both visit the same two cenotes, both include full gear and lunch.
$5,070 MXN per person — flexible pickup from Progreso or Mérida, you choose when booking. All-inclusive: transport, gear, entrance fees, Maya-community lunch, certified guide.
Honest transport, authentic cenotes off the tourist circuit, and lunch in the community that protects them — the most complete dive day you can do from the port.
Nomozón (open cenote with natural light and rock formations) and Nayah (semi-closed cenote, more intimate). Different profiles in the same trip — maximum variety.
The cenotes are protected by Maya ejidos. The tour lunch is traditional Yucatecan food prepared by the community — entrance fees stay in the local economy.
Private van from your hotel or cruise dock in Progreso, round-trip. Entrance fees to both cenotes included. No car rental hassle, no directions to figure out.
If you have an international certification (any agency), you do a guided dive. If you've never dived, the instructor runs a discover scuba session in a beginner-appropriate cenote.
Cenote water is fresh, filtered by limestone for thousands of years. Typical visibility is 30 meters — every formation detail, every sunbeam from above, is crystal-clear.
We run small-group tours to keep the experience intimate and the diving safe in cenote environments. Book ahead — we don't operate mega-groups.
Nomozón and Nayah complement each other — an open cenote with midday sun and a closed cenote with a cathedral feel.
Open-sky cenote with sunbeams cutting into the water. Turquoise crystal-clear water, accessible rock formations, ideal for underwater photography. First cenote of the tour.

More enclosed, cooler cenote with stalactites and a cavern atmosphere. Perfect contrast to Nomozón — the second dive of the day after lunch.
Book tour →Cenotes are freshwater filtered by limestone — exceptional visibility year-round. Stable water temperature 24–25 °C (wear a 3mm wetsuit). No current. Moderate depths suitable for basic Open Water. Rainy season (Jul–Sep) may temporarily reduce visibility after heavy storms — otherwise clarity is constant.
Two formats — certified guided dive or beginner discover scuba with instructor.
For divers with Open Water (or higher) certification from any international agency — PADI, SSI, NAUI, CMAS, SDI. Two guided dives in Nomozón and Nayah. Pickup available from Progreso or Mérida.
Book certified →First dive experience with a certified instructor. Surface briefing + two supervised dives in a beginner-appropriate cenote. No prior experience required. Pickup available from Progreso or Mérida.
Book discover →No — the Nomozón and Nayah cenotes are ~1.5 hours inland from Progreso, in rural Maya communities. The port of Progreso itself doesn't have cenotes (it's on the Gulf coast). That's why we run a full-day tour with round-trip transport from your hotel or cruise dock in Progreso to the cenotes and back.
You have two options: (1) With international certification from any agency — PADI Open Water, SSI, NAUI, CMAS, SDI — you do a guided autonomous dive; or (2) Without certification, you can do discover scuba with a certified instructor who accompanies you during both dives. Same price either way.
Approximately 8–10 hours door-to-door (pickup + drive + cenote 1 + lunch + cenote 2 + return). Exact timing depends on group and season — confirm schedule when booking.
Private round-trip transport (from Progreso or Mérida), full diving gear (tank, regulator, BCD, 3mm wetsuit, fins, mask), entrance fees to both cenotes, snacks, a full traditional lunch prepared in the local Maya community, certified guide/instructor, and basic insurance. All included in the $5,070 MXN per person.
Yes — Nomozón and Nayah are suitable for freshly certified Open Water divers. They are not caverns or caves (open environments with natural light). If you just certified in the ocean, this is a great first freshwater experience.
Swimwear under your clothes, towel, dry change of clothes, rashguard (optional but recommended under the 3mm wetsuit), comfortable sandals, hat, biodegradable sunscreen (cenotes are fragile ecosystems — no chemical sunscreens), and cash for tips. We provide all diving gear.
Cenotes are mostly underwater diving — rain doesn't affect the dive. Heavy thunderstorms may cause us to reschedule for road safety. Full refund or reschedule if you can't make the new date.
Yes — we offer flexible pickup from either city at the same price. If you're staying in downtown Mérida, we pick you up there and drop you back at the same point at the end of the day. Tell us your address when booking and we'll coordinate.
Yes — our guides and instructors are bilingual English/Spanish. Dive briefings and underwater signals are given in your preferred language.
Our Yucatán team responds within 1 hour. Book 48h ahead to coordinate pickup from Progreso or Mérida.
