Mesoamerican Reef
Second-longest barrier reef on the planet. The Quintana Roo section is the closest to your hotel and one of the healthiest.
Drift dives from Puerto Morelos National Park and Playa del Carmen — bull sharks Nov–Mar, turtles year-round
Reef diving in the Riviera Maya happens on the Mesoamerican Reef — the second-longest barrier reef on Earth, running 1,000 km from Cancún to Honduras. The healthiest, most accessible sections are at Puerto Morelos National Park (a no-take marine reserve) and the Playa del Carmen drift wall with its bull-shark season.
We dive through PADI- and SDI/TDI-certified partner shops. Boats leave from Puerto Morelos pier (10–15 min run to dive sites) and Playa del Carmen marina. Sites are mostly drift dives — the current carries you along the wall while a divemaster keeps the group together. Easy, scenic and high-success.
Year-round turtle, ray and tropical-fish encounters. Bull-shark season is November to March on dedicated PDC dives — large females congregate to feed before pupping. Standard 2-tank trips, gear available, EAN/Nitrox supported. Bring your Open Water card.

A 9,066-ha marine national park — strict no-take rules. Higher fish density than unprotected coast. Calmer entry suits beginners.
Nov–Mar PDC dive sites host pregnant bull sharks. Large females (2.5–3 m) cruise within 5–10 m of divers. Operators run with experienced shark divemasters.
Caribbean water 26–29 °C. Most divers wear 3 mm shorty or rashguard. Visibility 20–40 m typical.
Most sites are gentle drift dives — just float along the wall. Divemasters pace the group, no swim-back challenges.
Our partner dive shops have current PADI 5-star or SDI Gold ratings. Nitrox available. Well-maintained gear and modern boats.

Open Water + 25 dives is fine for Puerto Morelos and easy PDC sites. Advanced Open Water recommended for PDC drift wall and bull-shark dives. Wreck certification or deep specialty for the C-58.
