2020
Year founded, here in Cancún. Still headquartered on Boulevard Kukulcán.
Beyond the Shore, Unleash Adventure. Beyond the tourist brochures, there are oceans that are better explored with the people who live off them. That is our line — and we are not moving it.
AquaCore Adventures was founded in 2020 — on a Mexican coastline that had just fallen silent. Tour boats grounded, dive shops closed, instructors out of work. The pandemic made it painfully clear how fragile the old model was: a travel industry where the local operators absorb every shock, and the global platforms keep every margin.
We started as a small multicultural team — people from across Mexico and abroad — bound by a single thing: we love these waters, and we know the people who make them possible. Captains who have spent twenty years reading Caribbean wind. PADI instructors who know the cenotes by heart. Kitesurf schools running on Isla Blanca long before anyone outside had heard of it.
The idea was simple: build a single accountable company that connects the traveller directly with the people who actually take them out on the water. No OTA cuts. Fair prices — for the traveller AND for the operator who shows up at 6 a.m. Four years later, 2,000+ guests and four destinations in, we are still making that same bet.
Every metric below is a standing commitment — we report against them, not around them.
Year founded, here in Cancún. Still headquartered on Boulevard Kukulcán.
Travellers guided across diving, kitesurf, yacht charters, snorkeling and SUP.
Average rating across 350+ verified reviews — we publish every word, good or bad.
Cancún, Progreso, Riviera Maya and Los Cabos — with the same standard on every coast.
The model is simple: one company, one team, one point of accountability — backed by a curated network of certified local experts.
Every captain, instructor and skipper we work with is vetted in person. Certifications checked, track record reviewed, guests surveyed — repeatedly.
If anything goes wrong — weather, logistics, gear — you call one number and one team solves it. No finger-pointing between booking platform and operator.
No OTA takes 20-30% of your booking. The saving is split: lower prices for you, a fair cut for the captain who actually takes you out.
Every message, 7 days a week, reviewed by a real human. Most replies land in under 10 minutes during daytime.
PADI-certified dive guides. IKO-certified kitesurf instructors. Licensed Mexican-maritime-authority captains. Every trip insured.
Maximum 4 divers per guide. Maximum 8 guests on a mid-size yacht. Slower, quieter, safer — and much closer to the wildlife.
Not stock shots of our team — we do not publish those. These are ambient images from the coasts we work on, chosen to reflect the kind of day we spend out there.
Our team is intentionally multicultural and spread across the coast. For safety and privacy we do not publish full bios publicly — the roles below are the shape of the team you will meet on the water.
Runs day-to-day coordination between guests, captains, instructors and the dive centres. Point of contact for every booking.

Say hello →Behind AquaCore there is a curated network of local captains, instructors and schools we work with across the Yucatán and Quintana Roo coasts. The word curated matters: this is not a platform open to anyone with a boat. Every partner is vetted personally, holds current international certifications (PADI, IKO, licensed maritime authority), and has stood behind years of guest feedback.
We designed it this way because we have been on the other side — local operators deserve a channel that pays them fairly and does not hide them behind three layers of middlemen. That commitment is what keeps the network small, and why quality stays where it is.
Every tour is backed by one or more of these internationally recognised credentials. Ask us at booking time for the specific credential covering your guide — we share it in writing.
Professional Association of Diving Instructors. Every dive guide, cenote specialist and Open Water instructor holds current PADI certification.
International Kiteboarding Organization. Every kitesurf lesson follows IKO Level 1-3 curriculum and safety protocol.
All yacht and waverunner tours operated by captains licensed by the Mexican maritime authority (Capitanía de Puerto).
Every trip covered under a commercial liability policy. Certificate available on request at booking.
Cancún, Isla Mujeres and Mesoamerican Reef operations follow CONANP protected-area regulations — no exceptions.
Maximum 4 divers per guide · 8-10 guests per mid-size yacht · 1 instructor per 2 kite students. Safety by design, not by luck.
Short-term tourism that damages the reef damages everyone's livelihood. Sustainability is not a marketing line here; it is basic business continuity.
Sunscreen protocol enforced on every tour — oxybenzone/octinoxate sunscreens not allowed on board. Reef-safe alternatives supplied.
Every partner we work with is locally owned and operated. Fees stay in the community, not in a foreign corporate tower.
We intentionally limit group size and departure frequency on sensitive sites (cenotes, MUSA, Isla Mujeres) to let the sites recover.
AquaCore was founded in 2020 by a multicultural team of people from across Mexico and abroad — all with professional backgrounds in water sports, tourism and hospitality. For the safety and privacy of our team we do not publish full personal profiles. When you book, you always know the name and credentials of the specific guide or captain running your trip.
Neither, strictly speaking. We are a local adventure company with a curated network of operating partners (captains, dive centres, kitesurf schools) who run the tours on the water. You book with one company, pay one company, get one company answering the phone — and the money goes straight to the person actually operating your trip, not through three intermediaries.
We vet every partner personally before they run a single tour for us: check current certifications (PADI, IKO, maritime authority), review their safety record and insurance, visit their base of operations, and cross-check guest feedback for at least six months. Partners that slip on safety, punctuality or guest experience are removed — the network is intentionally small.
We operate from Cancún, Quintana Roo, Mexico (Boulevard Kukulcán km 8, Zona Hotelera). Our full fiscal identity, operating licences and insurance certificates are available on request — contact us and we share them in writing.
Our current 4.9 / 5 rating and 350+ reviews come from guest feedback across our own channels and partner platforms. We are in the process of consolidating a single public review page with direct links to TripAdvisor and Google Business — ask at booking time for the links in the meantime.
